Tropical Fish Encounter has been in business as a brick and mortar store since the mid 1980's. It has specialized in all things aquatic and reptile. It is located at 12233 Woodside Avenue in Lakeside, California 92040.
In early 2003, we ventured into the online market by creating the ebay store Tropical-fish-encounters. In mid-2006, we decided to create our own online website, complete with a forum to be able to more easily answer questions, and with content where we could publish articles about things of interest to the fish or reptile enthusiast.
The store is run by Mark Quinn, an aquatic biologist. Mark has been dealing with tropical fish since the late 1960s, and has a great deal of knowledge about the hobby.
